WHAT WE DO
An international family owned racing team lead by the team principal Kim Holmgaard and his wife Bonnie Holmgaard with two of their three sons as drivers in the team.
Holmgaard motorsport has more than 20 years of experience in endurance racing. The team has successfully managed to create and establish a professional setting with a skilled crew of mechanics, engineers and pit crew members to ensure precise, fast and agile pit stops and garage work.
Even though the family only consist of Kim, Bonnie, Jonas and Magnus, the rest of the team feels right at home when traveling to international race circuits competing in the 24H series.
Holmgaard Motorsport drives a Porsche 991 GT3 Cup (992) in the international 24H series. The new Porsche 911 GT3 Cup, built on the 992 generation platform, redefines track performance with its meticulous engineering and racing-focused design. Despite weighing 35 kilos more than its predecessor, it boasts a chassis comprising 70% steel and 30% aluminum, with carbon fiber-reinforced plastic used for doors, hood, and rear wing, enhancing both strength and agility.
Inside the cockpit, comfort takes a back seat to functionality. Featuring an F1-inspired steering wheel, a large instrument display, and a ‘Rubber Switch Panel’ borrowed from the 919 Hybrid prototype, the GT3 Cup prioritizes usability for drivers seeking optimal performance on the track.
Powered by a naturally aspirated 4.0-liter flat-six engine generating around 510 horsepower, the GT3 Cup offers exhilarating acceleration controlled via a six-speed sequential gearbox with paddle shifters. It remains as approachable to drive as any other 911 until unleashed on the track, where its capabilities truly shine.
The latest iteration of the GT3 Cup embraces an even more aggressive design, borrowing the wider Turbo body from its road-going counterpart. Enhanced aerodynamics, including a larger rear wing and wider front spoiler, contribute to increased downforce and grip, translating to unparalleled performance on the circuit.

Jonas Holmgaard
My racing journey has been a thrilling ride filled with incredible highs and unforgettable moments. It all started back in 2008 when I first stepped into the world of karting. Fast forward to 2009, and I proudly claimed the title of Club Champion, setting the stage for what was to come. From there, I delved into challenging competitions like the Nordic Championship and the Rotax Max Challenge, constantly pushing myself to new limits.
In 2014, I made the leap to endurance racing, tackling my first 4-hour race at Padborg Park, Denmark, in a Peugeot 307. That was just the beginning of an exciting journey into endurance events like the Danish Endurance Championship.
But it was in 2016 that I truly hit my stride, clinching the Danish Endurance Champion title driving a Cupra TCR. That victory fueled my determination, propelling me into international races and securing wins in events like the Grandprix Danmark and the Spa 12H.
As I look back on those years of hard work and dedication, I can’t help but feel a sense of pride. And as I gear up for 2024, I’m excited to embark on a new chapter, making my debut in the Porsche 992 GT3 Cup at the Dubai 24H. It’s a testament to my passion and commitment to the sport I love.
